The main deity of this Temple is Guruvayoorappan (Sreekrishna the ninth incarnation of GOD Mahavishnu).
The idol of the deity of this temple was worshiped by Vasudevar (Father of Bhagavan Sreekrishna) and Devaki (Mother of Bhagavan Sreekrishna) when they were in Dwaraka. At the end of Dwapara Yugam the idol was almost lost in the mountainous waves of the flood (Pralayam) then there appeared GOD Shiva who called on and insisted GURU and VAYU to find a suitable place and install the IDOL therefore the devout generations to come and pray. Wish you all a very happy VISHU. Wish you all a very Happy New Year

Wish you all a very happy VISHU.

Vishu (Malayalamവിഷു, "Bisu" in Tulu Language) is the Hindu new year festival celebrated in the Indian state of Kerala and nearby Tulunadu region of Coastal Karnataka. The festival follows the solar cycle of the lunisolar Hindu calendar as the first day of month called Medam.[1] It therefore always falls in the middle of April in the Gregorian calendar on or about 14 April every year.[2][3] The same day, many Hindus elsewhere observe new year as well but the festival is called Vaisakhi or other names.[4][5]
